Dancing Heart to Heart offers dancing, consulting services and a highly equipped, functional sling library in the heart of the beautiful Medieval town of Asti, Piedmont, in north-west Italy.
We are a community of ‘kangaroo mums’ who lives engaging, enchanting experiences, makes new friends and shares wonderful moments together.

DANCING HEART TO HEART

Dancing Heart to Heart is a dance course for mothers-to-be and new mums who wish to dance with their baby in a baby wrap or with the help of an ergonomic support.
At the same time, we share a very special moment of art and life with our baby thanks to the wonderful cuddle that babywearing is.
Dancing Heart to Heart offers benefits to both mums and their children who can re-bond with their mother’s body warmth and heartbeat, going back to the memory of their life in the uterus while being softly rocked by this loving, gentle dance.
Our course is designed for mums-to-be and both those mums who are already babywearers and those who are not familiar with this wonderful new world yet.
The classes are tailored for everyone, women who have already studied dance or have already had some dance classes, as well as for women who are interested in this discipline and wish to know more.
If you do not have wraps or ergonomic supports, you’re very welcome to try our material and textiles - just let us know in advance!
Little big brothers and sisters are welcome to be with us during classes. During all classes you’ll be able to take your baby out of the wrap at any time he or she wishes to, change his/her nappy and breastfeed him/her whenever they need.

TRYING
Are you a mum-to-be, or a new mum, and would you like to try and dance with your bundle of joy?

TEACHING
Are you a dance teacher or a dancer (not necessarily a professional) and would you like to get trained and certified in our method?
Register for the teacher course!
A qualifying training course with a final exam that will certify you with the CSEN* diploma.

Babywearing Consulting
Elena Alessandra Zo, the founder of "Dancing Heart to Heart" (Danza Cuore a Cuore™), and a classical ballet teacher for over 13 years, fell in love with babywearing when she became a mum for the first time, in 2014.
She babywore and ‘carried’ her two children with a lot of love - and still does sometimes - and has been at the forefront of disseminating a culture of mothering full of contact and closeness, more considerate of the needs of both mothers and babies.
In 2017 Elena became a certified babywearing carrying consultant, "Consulente del Portare", obtaining her diploma from the "Scuola del Portare". During 2020 she improved her skills and technique joining the ClauWi
formation path.
Since then she has been assisting mums and dads in their discovery of this wonderful, multifaceted and highly enriching world, listening to all needs and finding the most suitable solutions for all dyads, that is all musical and psychological interactions and relations between a parent and their child.
Sling library
Our sling library offers parents a wide selection of ergonomic supports, rigid and elastic wraps, baby carriers mei tai, onbuhimo and semi-structured.
For any parent who is looking for the most suitable support, being able to touch and feel different wraps, textiles, blends, materials and grammages, trying on different sizes and brands and a variety of baby carriers under the attentive and trained supervision of a professional is an extremely useful and inexpensive way to avoid misguided and hazardous choices.
For everyone wishing to get closer to this beautiful world of cuddles and colours, our Sling Library is available for:
- free informative meetings
- open days to try any type of support with total freedom
- breakfasts among mums to chat about wraps, slings, textiles, etc.

The creator of the "Dancing Heart to Heart" (Danza Cuore a Cuore™) method
Choreographer, dancer and teacher of classical ballet, modern dance and body expression for more than 13 years. Since the birth of her first child she has been dancing heart to heart with her two children and assisting groups of mothers in their discovery of this incredible life and art moment.
A certified babywearing carrying consultant, Consulente del Portare®, initially from the Scuola del Portare and then evolved with the ClauWi
school, she also holds a BA in Theatre Studies and Dance History from the prestigious DAMS (Art, Music and Performing Arts) at the University of Turin, Italy.
She was also a researcher in the choral dance-related subject areas at the CRUD (Academic Regional Centre for Dance) for the publication of volumes with the cultural publisher UTET.
